Proof

Results you can take to the committee.

The strongest proof in turf is a championship record, and David Mason has spent 32 years building one: an R&A scholarship and courses prepared for Australian Opens, the World Cup of Golf and Presidents Cups. That is the standard Gen1 Sportsturf now brings to clubs and councils. Named client results sit below, with hard numbers added as each engagement reports back.

Case study

What ongoing oversight looks like in practice.

Challenge

Building and maintaining a high-standard 9-hole private golf course in a valley known for wet weather, flooding and poor drainage, with the brief to keep the course playable on as many days as possible while keeping maintenance to a minimum.

Approach

Gen1 Sportsturf was engaged early in the project, working alongside the client, the golf course architect, contractors and the shaper on design, irrigation and agronomic advice from the ground up.

Outcome

Gen1 was involved at every step, from design and irrigation through construction, shaping and grassing, then oversaw the grow-in through to completion. The course now runs on an ongoing agronomy program, and the client is satisfied with the result.

In their words

What clients say.

“Dave was involved from the very beginning of the irrigation design for Keysborough Golf Club. His extensive experience in irrigation design and installation, combined with his background as a Golf Course Superintendent, gave us complete confidence that the project would be a success…”

Testimonial

“Dave was involved from the very beginning of the irrigation design for Keysborough Golf Club. His extensive experience in irrigation design and installation, combined with his background as a Golf Course Superintendent, gave us complete confidence that the project would be a success. His practical understanding of course operations ensured the system was designed not only to meet our current needs but also to future-proof the course through improved water management and the latest irrigation technology. The small details that are often overlooked were given the attention they deserved, and as any Superintendent knows, those details make a significant difference in achieving the desired outcome.”

Nick Launer, Course Superintendent, The Keysborough Golf Club

How we prove it

Results come from measurement, not opinion.

The reason Gen1 can stand behind an outcome is that every claim starts as a number. That is what protects a committee and satisfies a council.

We measure first

Distribution uniformity, soil moisture, surface hardness and water use, recorded as a baseline before any plan is written.

We track the change

The same measures, taken again over the season, so improvement is shown in numbers and before and after photos, not adjectives.

We report it plainly

A one-page dashboard and a board summary your committee can read and defend, with the cost and the return set out clearly.
